I Curse the River of Time
I Curse the River of Time: A Norwegian American Tale is the title of Ed's 2013 release. The songs on the album reflect the artist's fascinating odyssey to trace his family roots and his observations along the way. The CD packs quite a story, as well as artwork by contemporary Norwegian artists, and hauntingly beautiful tunes. Order now in the store! Ed's online store
The lineup of Nashville Electric boasts two classically trained musicians with worldwide concert experience, two Nashville musicians more commonly associated with popular roots rock bands, and one talented experimental musician they ran into at the Big Ears Festival. A series of phone calls asking each member if they would like to get together to create experimental improvisational music with no technical guidelines was all it took to get these five seemingly disparate yet like-minded musicians together. Or as one member puts it “the collective talents and instincts of each player told me that this would work and we would be interestingly adventurous”. Available now in the store! Ed's store
Mad King Edmund records with legendary sax player Giuseppi Logan-
Ed's avant jazz collective records with sax player Giuseppi Logan, rising star of the sixties jazz scene, lost to view for over 35 years. Story in Sunday New York TImes. This Mad King Edmund limited release is available now exclusively here.
Coming in early 2016: the free jazz operetta inspired by the 99%, Happening: A Movement in 12 Acts-
The prequel to the Giuseppi Logan Project, "Happening: A Movement in 12 Acts" features jazz pianist Thollem McDonas and sax player Jeff Lederer. Giuseppi Logan was scheduled but when he was sidelined due to a broken hip, the session took some interesting twists and turns. In a homage to the very active Occupy protests in NYC where the session took place, Ed wrote a little libretto. Featuring guest vocalists Freedy Johnston, Walter Egan, Mary Gauthier, Charles Walker, Cooper Moore, Matthew Ryan, Suzy Bogguss and more will be available on the legendary ESP Disk.
